Tryavna, June 24-25, 2022
The institution of children Ombudsman was in the focus of attention during the Annual Meeting (AM) of National Network for Children (NNC), which took place in Tryavna on June 24-25, 2022. Special guest on the event was the Ombudsman of Iceland Mrs., Salvior Nordal, who shared experience of the country in supporting policies on child’s rights protection. One of the discussions in the forum was on suggestion for regulations and structure of the Child’s Ombudsman institution in Bulgaria.
In the frame of the event on one of the working sessions Ralitsa Zgalevska from BFPA team presented in front of a group of communicators from the members of NNC the campaign of BFPA and the Learning Action Partnership (LAP) ‘Eyes Peeled’ for zero tolerance towards sexual exploitation of children and adolescents.
The campaign raised great interest and some of the participants committed to contribute for disseminating of the messages and visuals on zero tolerance against sexual exploitation of children in parents and teachers communities. We are pleased to have new followers of our work in supporting the vulnerable. BFPA is a long-term active member of NNC and works on popularizing the rights of the children and families as well.
