Love responsibly!

Fortune slipsSofia, Stara Zagora, Russe, February 14, 2017

‘Love Responsibly!’ is a fortune slips campaign of the Bulgarian Family Planning and Sexual Health Association (BFPA) around St. Valentine’s Day. You can have coffee and take your lucky health messages in several places in Sofia, Stara Zagora and Ruse. ‘Sometimes it is not you that is wrong. But you are wrong when you do not love responsibly’ is the sentence that makes everyone thinking on his/her behavior and on the importance of taking care of our reproductive health. Additionally to the traditional wishes for happiness and love, the messages from the pink small pieces of paper show short messages and facts – important for our health, which sometimes we don’t know, sometimes we know but ignore or we rarely think on.

Here are the locations where you can drink coffee and try your chance with our fortune slips:
Sofia: The cafeteria in Sofia University, a pavilion at the bus stop in front of University of National and World Economy and one of the cafeterias in Medical University in Sofia;
Stara Zagora: the cafeteria in the Medical Faculty of Thracian University;
Ruse: the municipality hospital and ‘The Godfather’ restaurant.
The main message of the one day initiative is to make people think about health as a basic value in the life of everyone.
The fortune slips are also available in BFPAS center in Sofia and on our website.

Here are some of the messages

The Shared Knowledge. Peer to Peer Training of Trainers, part three

Varshetz, 15-16 June, 2017

Third, last part of the peer education for this scholar year. One of the exercises made was via brainstorming the participants to give examples for social norms – one good and one bad or outlived its time. The young people concluded that the social norms actually have a mutual root with our prejudices. „Run away from here, shorty” – said the pharmacist when teenagers want to buy condoms; when you have older sister or brother and you have to listen to her/him just because they are older, when you say to boys “Do not behave like a girl, it is male stuff” – are a small part of the given as examples of bad social norms. The handshake of athletes at the end of the match; reading in public places when you are alone, to smile while saying Hi, to collect your dog’s poo - are part of the examples of good standards.
